1. No Data Collection on Your Text
TextTally processes all text entirely in your browser. We use zero server-side processing for word counting, character counting, or any text analysis. Your text is never sent to our servers, stored, logged, or shared with third parties. When you click "Save," your text is stored in your browser's LocalStorage — a secure client-side storage mechanism that only your browser can access.
2. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the user experience. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and browser type. It does not have access to your typed text. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using browser extensions like Google's opt-out add-on.
3. Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display non-intrusive advertisements on our site. AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can manage your ad personalization preferences at Google Ad Settings.
4. Cookies
TextTally uses minimal cookies: Google Analytics sets first-party cookies for analytics, and Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalization. We do not use any other tracking cookies. Our theme and font size preferences are stored in LocalStorage, not cookies.

6. Data Retention
We do not store any personal data on our servers. Any data stored in your browser's LocalStorage (saved text, theme preferences) can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache or using the "Clear" button.
